The 2010 Driving Away the Cold Program
is now underway...
The 2010 Driving Away the Cold effort has begun! ADAGP Dealer Members started to receive their registration packets this week and the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation is proud to report that we are off to a roaring start! Twelve dealers have already signed up to be a part of the 2010 effort! (Please see list to the left.)
As a reminder, the Driving Away the Cold Program invites all Dealer Members to participate in a special month-long campaign titled "We Pledge." Through the "We Pledge" campaign, participating dealers agree to pledge one new winter coat for an unprivileged child each time a vehicle is sold at his or her dealership during the month of September.
The Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation began this effort in January of 2008. To date, the Foundation, along with its participating dealers, has distributed more than 36,000 new winter coats to youngsters in the five-county area of Philadelphia. While impressive, that hardly makes a dent in the staggering levels of poverty in our region. Think of the impact we can make as a collective unit! |
